Rancho La Bellota, Baja Mexico Art Retreat ~ March 28th - April 4th 2023

Hello old and new friends! Happy Spring 2023!

Where do I begin? It's been a long time coming to return to sharing on my BlogSpot, mostly because I have much to share and truly I look forward vice versa to reading your posts, growing new friendships along the way.

Who am I? I'm Patty in Oz and turned 68 in February. I'm a God girl (passionately in love with the Lord), Randy's wife for over 48 years, mother to three children (Sarah Catherine, my precious oldest daughter has passed this life), Grandmama to nine, Great Grandmama to two and have two fur babies Angel (my constant home companion) and Bella (our senior farm cat). Living in our Valley is my dream come true. My hobbies are pretty endless...more about them later.

This post is all about the birthday gift I gave to myself this year. My husband said "You want to go WHERE?' After it soaked in that I was vert serious, he gave me his blessing which I'm truly thankful for.

I found this fabulous trip through THE TRAVEL TRIBE which is a private Facebook group. It is geared providing trips for women 50 years old + all over the world. The groups are about 10 women. If you need more info about this group, please let me know. This particular trip is offer once a year.

I will share more details with my photos soon...

March 28th, San Diego, California, heading this morning to Rancho La Bellota in Baja, Mexico

The view out my cabin window was SPECTACTULAR!

Daria Mariscal and I working on my Paipai wedding vase. Daria is a descendant of the Californios, the first Mexican families on the Baja peninsula. She is instructor of our Native Clay Workshop. The Paipai are the only native people in Baja, California who still produce potter in the traditional way, without the use of a potter's wheel or kiln.
